General Information on Charges
Please contact us to arrange for a free, initial 30-minute telephone consultation to discuss your case and our charges.

We do not undertake Legal Aid or "No Win No Fee" (conditional fee) work.

We charge an agreed hourly rate for productive time actually spent working on your case.  We also charge for sums we  have to pay to others on your behalf (disbursements).  These will be for items such as court fees, barristers' and experts' fees, laboratory tests, air and train fares, and necessary incidental expenses.

Solicitors Code of Conduct 2007 – Standards of Service

Rule 2.05 of these Rules, made by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, requires us to give information to clients as to whom they should approach in the event of any problem they experience with the service provided by the firm.

We aim to offer all our clients an efficient, prompt and effective service.  We are confident that we will do so for you and that the contents of this note will therefore be of academic interest only.

However, should there be any aspect of our service which you consider gives ground for complaint you should please raise your problem with MARK BOARDMAN, either in person, on the telephone or in writing, as you consider appropriate.  He will then take the appropriate steps necessary to remedy the problem.

We have eight weeks to consider your complaint. If we have not resolved it to your reasonable satisfaction within that time you may ask the Legal Ombudsman, PO Box 6806, Wolverhampton, WV1 9WJ to consider the complaint.

Normally, you will need to bring a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of receiving a final written response from us about your complaint or within six years of the act or omission about which you are complaining occurring (or if outside of this period, within three years of when you should reasonably have been aware of it).
